The two piece Dept 56 Winter Silhouette Bright Star on Christmas Eve is listed as Number 7843-3, was first issued in 1993 and retired in 1997.
The beautifully detailed bisque has our "young man" holding his candle while peering out the window at a star studded sky. He undoubtedly is looking for Santa! The windows have valence topped drapes, pulled back by a simple cord. the exterior of the house is also detailed, sporting snow gently pushed against the foundation and a single evergreen wreath hung on the oputer brick facade of the chimney.
The other figurine is that of a young girl and toddler, both dressed in night gowns, the young girl holding a candle. Also full of subtle detailing, we were impressed with the long braid with bow flowing on the young girl's back, and ruffles at the hem of the nightgown.
Both pieces of the Dept 56 Winter Silhouette Bright Star on Christmas Eve are in Pristine condition, with no chips, cracks, scratches or other defect noted.
