We are delighted to offer this stunning Artist Signed, Bone China Plate from Noritake. The hallmark on the back of the plate indicates that it is bone china and was manufactured in 1953.
The white background is the perfect back drop for the lovely rendering of the holly and berry branch. Beneath the main branch is a softer version done in a palette of pastel green and gray. Beneath the design is a single backwash of a golden yellow. The artist signature "Kimura" is at the base of the holly branch. The plate is edged in 24 carat gold.
The back of the Noritake Nippon Toki Kaisha Hand Painted Bone China Holly Plate has two holes drilled to facilitate hanging.
The hallmark, done in red, reads"Noritake Nippon Toki Kaisha, Japan". This mark was used on ornamental designs intended for the domestic Japanese market in 1953.
The Noritake Nippon Toki Kaisha Hand Painted Bone China Holly Plate measures 10-5/8 inches in diameter and is in Pristine condition. There are no defects noted, the colors are bright, graphics crisp, gold edging intact. This piece appears to have never been used or displayed.
