Vintage From Paul is delighted to offer this Vernon Kilns Monterey Large Oval Platter.

The Monterey pattern was produced by Vernon Kilns of California between 1924 -1954.

Monterey has a creamy white background, raised gadroon border done in a deep burgundy and navy blue. The Platter is in Excellent condition with no cracks, or crazing. The colors are vibrant.

What we do see is a small, pin head size chip on the underside which fortunately does not travel to the top. there are also 2-3 small dark spots on the top of the platter, near the border/inner verge. Nothing major, but the piece is not perfect!

The Vernon Kilns Monterey Large Oval Platter measures 13-3/4 inches in length, 10-3/8 inches in width. The under side of the Vernon Kilns Monterey Large Oval Platter is marked with "Hand Painted Under Glaze, Vernon Kilns, Calif, Made in USA, Monterey"
